SUMMARY:TRAINING FOR PEOPLE’S VOTE VOLUNTEERS
DESCRIPTION:As the clock ticks down to the 29th March the possibility of a People’s Vote is looking increasingly likely so it is vitally important that we are ready to win it. \nTo do this we will need as many volunteers as possible prepared to help with leading the campaign including canvassing people on the streets and doorsteps. \nWhether writing letters\, giving out leaflets\, being on the end of a phone or actively engaged in one-to-one contact with members of the public this training event is designed to give you the confidence you need to: \n– lobby MPs and other elected officials to support the campaign; \n– approach members of the public in the way most likely to achieve a favourable response; \n– know what to say and\, as importantly\, what not to say; \n– deal with some of the common responses like\, ‘We have already had a people’s vote.’ \nThe training is being led by Charles Gibson\, the Regional Campaign Coordinator for Best for Britain. \nThe training will be informal and fun and is intended for those who have never been involved in anything like this before as well as seasoned campaigners who fancy brushing up their skills. \nIt is also intended for those who just want to find out what is involved before deciding on whether to commit themselves. \nDo please come and join us for what promises to be a very enjoyable\, useful and practical afternoon. \nPlease note that the training is being provided FREE and that members and supporters of all local\, pro-European groups will be welcome. \nTickets are free but must be booked in advance via Eventbrite here \n
