Warwick District 4 Europe joins together with other local groups on the latest National Day of Action

On Saturday 25th August Warwick District 4 Europe took part in the European Movement’s latest National Day of Action. In the morning a team of 18 of our volunteers held a street stall in Kenilworth, where they collected nearly a hundred signatures for the People’s Vote petition and a pile of postcards to send to local MPs. 87% of the people we spoke to said they were in favour of the People having a final say on the Brexit deal and many of them signed up to join our mailing list. Later that day, some of our volunteers joined together with members of Stratford4Europe and Banbury for Europe to help the newly formed People’s Vote Coventry group on their first street stall. The event was a big success and a huge 92% of the 245 people they talked to said they wanted a People’s Vote. Coventry voted to Leave in 2016 but has recently been in the press as polling has suggested the city would now vote to Remain, as reported in the Coventry Evening Telegraph here
