Brexit: Ask the Experts

Professor Michael Dougan, together with his colleagues from the University of Liverpool, will be taking part in a ‘Question Time’ style panel to expose the truth about the legal consequences of the UK’s decision to leave the European Union.

Professor Dougan was acclaimed as the internet star of the June 2016 referendum when his lecture on the ‘industrial-scale dishonesty’ of the Leave campaign attracted 7 million hits on Facebook and YouTube.  He is Professor of European Law and Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Law at the University of Liverpool.  As well as being widely published, he has provided written evidence to government enquiries, appeared as an expert witness to parliamentary committees and advised government departments on European affairs.

The panellists alongside Professor Dougan will be:

  • Dr Thomas Horsley, Senior Lecturer in EU law: EU constitutional law, the European Court of Justice and national courts, Single Market
  • Dr Greg Messenger, Senior Lecturer in International Trade Law: law of the WTO, international trade law
  • Dr Steph Reynolds, Senior Lecturer in EU Law: EU constitutional law, human rights, free movement of persons.
