150 attend vigil in Leamington to mark UK leaving the EU

150 supporters of Warwick District 4 Europe gathered in Leamington on the evening of Friday 31 January to mark the UK leaving the EU. People of all ages and many different nationalities stood together on the steps of the Town Hall at 8pm holding candles, placards and EU flags. #NotLeavingQuietly – West Midlands 4 Europe trip to Brussels

At the beginning of October members of Warwick District 4 Europe joined other campaigners from across the West Midlands and spent three days in Brussels to see first hand the European Parliament in action, and raise awareness in the EU institutions that the pro-Remain movement is strong in our region. Warwick District 4 Europe lobby Jeremy Wright MP to support a People’s Vote

On Friday 30 November representatives from Warwick District 4 Europe met with Jeremy Wright, MP for Kenilworth and Southam, to ask him to join us in supporting the calls for a People’s Vote.  Ahead of the meeting, we held street stalls in Kenilworth and Southam, talking to his constituents about their views on Brexit and asking them to write a postcard to their MP telling him they were in favour of a People’s Vote. Warwick District 4 Europe join 700,000 others to march for a People’s Vote in London

250 local supporters travelled to be part of the March for a People’s Vote in London on Saturday 20 October. They left from Leamington, Kenilworth, Warwick and Stratford to join an estimated 700,000 people who marched to demand a People’s Vote on the Brexit deal. Warwick District 4 Europe joins together with other local groups on the latest National Day of Action

On Saturday 25th August Warwick District 4 Europe took part in the European Movement’s latest National Day of Action. In the morning a team of 18 of our volunteers held a street stall in Kenilworth, where they collected nearly a hundred signatures for the People’s Vote petition and a pile of postcards to send to local MPs. 87% of the people we spoke to said they were in favour of the People having a final say on the Brexit deal and many of them signed up to join our mailing…

As part of the National Day of Action on Saturday 21st July, pro-European groups held events in towns all over the country.
